Procurement Officer

Salary: £41,000 - £50,000 | Location: London

An excellent opportunity to join a leading, ambitious global insurance company based in the City of London (EC3). Responsibilities will include maintaining relationships with suppliers and suggesting changes to the contracts, ensuring outsourcing framework is embedded across the Group, completing reviews and reporting on contracts performance, analysing costs and identifying cost saving opportunities. Also acting as the expert for the procurement of the nominated business area and working with Compliance to complete Regulatory requests received from the FCA, PRA and Lloyd’s. You will review and approve third party non-underwriting commercial contracts, including IT services and outsourcing agreements and Solicitor’s Terms of Appointment. You will also provide general advice to the business on legal commercial matters, risk management and contract structure. The successful candidate will have: Experience of working in a strategic procurement/supplier management role for a multinational company The CIPS Level 2/higher qualification (or equivalent) or working towards it Experience of managing complex negotiations and delivering sound commercial outcomes for the business Experience in dealing with all types of commercial services and products contracts with strong capabilities of dealing with IT and outsourcing contracts Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders Some experience of working in the insurance industry would be helfpul although not essential
