An opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded, part qualified accountant to take on an Expense Analyst role for this city based Lloyd's insurer. This role will be responsible for providing analysis of the company's expenses and providing reports for senior management.
Duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Contributing to their high level business partnering function;
Monitoring and managing the company's direct expenses;
Provide analysis of the expense allocation process in accordance with the approved processes;
Analysing the monthly actual expense and cross referencing it with budget forecast;
Assisting with the preparation of both monthly departmental reporting packs and the quarterly group reporting packs;
Supporting development of FP&A efficiencies to deliver valuable expense analysis; and
Using experience of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budgeting/Forecasting and Reporting to assist with other ad hoc duties when required.
Applicants must be part qualified or studying towards their ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Ideally, applicants will have worked within an insurance or reinsurance company in a similar role and be keen to work in both an analytical and client facing role.
