Liaising with clients, cedants, Underwriters and loss adjusters in connection with claims handling process
Write emails and make phone calls to explain, where necessary, to the clients and Underwriters the background and present situation on any claim
Process without delay, all incoming email correspondence and file them electronically as per Company’s internal procedures. Their claims turnaround time is 24 hours.
Understand and analyse the claims information presented by clients before passing them on to the Underwriters
Input the claims information on the Company’s software systems – BROKASURE, DOCUWARE and third-party claims platform – CLASS (BUREAU), MS ACCESS and such other software as may be required.
Promptness in attending to all claims, treating the clients fairly and transparency in claims dealings with Underwriters
Undertake any other duties as the Company may require from time to time
Preferably have a 2:1 University Degree from a well-known University, ideally a Law graduate or English Language and Literature
Previous insurance claims experience is desirable
Excellent written and spoken level of English
Proficiency in MS Office, SQL and ideally Brokasure
Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritise work and complete assigned tasks on time
Ability to adapt to demanding work environment and willingness to take initiative and responsibility
