After an early career as an accountant, Robert switched to finance recruitment in 1994 and has specialised within the London Insurance market since 2000. His achievements include the establishment of a successful specialist insurance division within a leading recruitment group and the founding of Insight Recruitment Solutions Ltd alongside Paul Wise in 2008. This he has achieved by the development of longstanding associations with many of the industry’s major players.
Robert has extensive market experience and knowledge which he has used to benefit Lloyd’s and company market underwriters, Lloyd’s brokers, P & I clubs and service providers. The basis of his approach is to develop long term trust based business relationships.
When not in the office Robert enjoys spending time with his family, has recently started cyling, is an obsessive skier and is known to see the odd Shakespeare play or two.
A graduate of Manchester University, Paul began his recruitment career in 1997 recruiting within both the IT and finance sectors at global recruitment firms. In 2002 he joined a specialist financial services recruiter, where alongside Robert Hopkins was integral in the development of their insurance finance division. In March 2008, Robert and Paul established Insight Recruitment Solutions Ltd as dedicated supplier of professional staffing to the London Insurance market.
Paul has recruited individuals at all levels and has built a vast network of industry contacts. He is sensitive to the people aspect of the London insurance market and places the utmost emphasis on confidentiality. Paul utilises his extensive market knowledge to establish long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.
With a growing family at home, Paul doesn’t get much time for himself! He enjoys music and plays the guitar, watches and plays football and runs to keep fit (and to keep up with the children!) as well as regularly competing in OCR races.
Tom started his recruitment career specialising within the London Insurance Market in 2004. In January 2010 he joined Insight to set up Insight’s Technical Insurance division which he has developed with great success.
Tom has built a strong network due to his personal approach. He is passionate about his candidates’ careers and is dedicated to offering relevant, knowledgeable and honest advice throughout the entire recruitment process.
Outside of work Tom played rugby throughout teens and early 20’s and joined the Saracens Academy. He now enjoys hiking, snowboarding and following numerous sports.
William started out working for insurance brokers and began his recruitment career in 2011. He works as a Senior Recruitment Consultant in Insight’s Technical Insurance division.
He handles candidates of all levels and has built a strong network, forging long-term relationships with candidates and clients, offering a professional and dedicated service.
William has an keen interest in history and regularly attends the gym.
Charlotte started her career in 2015 in an accounting and finance company where she was responsible for the back-office function of their recruitment agency clients.
She joined Insight in June 2018 to oversee all office management duties ranging from Temporary Workers payroll and Credit Control, through to Marketing and Social Media.
Charlotte’s interests include travelling and also live music, she often combines the two by attending music festivals across Europe.
Having graduated in 2016 from the University of Manchester with a degree in American Studies, Christy moved to London to pursue a History Masters at Goldsmiths. Graduating in 2018, Christy has maintained her interest in American politics.
Christy now works in the Finance division of Insight and recruits a variety of roles from all corporate accounting functions through to technical accounts including IBA and Syndicate positions.
When Christy is not at work she is a keen fell runner, enjoys yoga classes, and regular visits to her home county of North Yorkshire.
After 8 years living in North West Spain, Chloe returned to London in early 2016 and began her recruitment career working within the IT and Bilingual sectors gaining experience in new business, client relationship and sourcing at a variety of levels.
After a few years of recruiting across different sectors, Chloe now works in the Insurance industry and is responsible for liaising with candidates and clients in the Square Mile focusing on technical roles including Underwriters, Technicians, Professional Support and Account Handlers.
In her spare time, Chloe thoroughly enjoys running, keeping fit, trying new restaurants and experimenting in the kitchen! She occasionally returns to the Atlantic waves of North West Spain to go Body Boarding.
